Many Things - LONG POST

i am so very tired. i'm not sure if i have the energy to run another 3 years.. and then somemore.. but i shall take a break today to blog!

firstly.. Venus won wimbledon! YAY!!! made up for the fact that Serena got injured and Nadal losing to Fed... but its encouraging to see that Nadal can compete with fed so well, even on grass! :) here are some happy pictures of the champions :)


other things i've done recently include meeting various pple. had a smashing time at settlers with gar, kat, sh, ra and alwyn. of course, managed to play tennis with various groups of pple as well!! glad tt i'm much better than when i first came back to sg.. :p

met up with yuan, cm and yihan for dinner at clarke quay.. saw this interesting band performance near the river.. haha, there was even a decent singer..

wanted to have dinner at pump room with the live band, but well, it was not to be. the silly place was booked for a function and i didn't know.. bah!! we ended up at The Tent, its some mongolian restaurant buffet thingie. the food's not bad.. its rather interesting in that u get to choose what you want in your dish, and mix about 20 over types of spices and sauces together, after which the chef will make you your own personalized dish from what you have chosen.. :) other than tt novelty, its not really that worth it in my opinion. oh well.. its the company tt matters :p

after tt, met up with ian and aud..

we went to the arena.. which is some live bar with live bands.. i felt the bands were quite good.. :) singing nice songs too, but well, yihan who only listens to screamy divas didn't like the rock-ish music there.. so we left after a while.. i guess it didn't help tt we were sitting so far forward tt it was near the bass speaker, hence deafening our ears. but i'd definitely wanna head back down again one day and check the place out..

well on sunday, i also met up with the aussie pple - wp, peiying, claire and nick. we went to clarke quay, again. went to waraku de pasta.. err.. jap fusion food. i didn't take any pictures.. haha. surprisingly! oh well. the food was not tt good for its price. its not bad, but i felt tt i paid way too much. coupled with the bad service and tt awful aircon, i'm pretty sure i wun go back again. the desserts were more ex and not even half as good as MOF's.. (its the same sort of jap style soft ice cream thingie). haha.. oops, too much abt the restaurant.. but anws, its good to see you guys.. had a great time catching up.. its gonna be a while b4 i see you again.. :(

today, managed to meet aaron for dinner. haha, really had quite a few important things to catch up to with him! haha. heh you, you are full of interesting surprises you know tt.. :p and for the dunno how many-th time, we met up again at coffee club, well, a different one from the usual though.. haha.

and finally, i met up with Mr Kat the teacher. haha, still lugging around his one million exercise books to mark. but the scripts are hilarious.. had an amusing time reading some of them. he had 2 complimentary tickets to the SYF Band Presentation.. which featured the top 3 bands from JC and Sec Sch.. it was fun fun fun. so nice to relive our nice memories from the past of being in a band.. its thrilling to hear all the soaring crescendos and to try to pick out all the individual instruments from the music. I was particularly impressed with CJC and Ang Mo Kio Sec.. well, their brass instruments were fantastic.. all the trumpet solos were great.. and CJC had a amazing saxophonist to boot as well. ahh, am too lazy to attempt to wreck my brain for more adjectives to describe the music.. music is music afterall - very difficult to put into words, otherwise, why listen rite?

Harry Potter

i love yes 933! haha. managed to win tix to catch the gala premier of harry potter and the order of the phoenix. i'd say its not v good. disappointed with it.. the fight scenes could've been so much better.. but well, Umbridge was excellently irritating.. :p

managed to see many local celebrities in the VIP area though i couldn't enter.. duh.

anws, more updates soon.. got so much textbooks to read and NO TIME. bah.

1st Week Back

my room is rapidly running out of storage space for my books clothes and many other miscellaneous items.. arrghh.

anws, its been a hectic week back in singapore.. after landing on saturday, sch started on monday in an alien environment - Alexandra Hospital. its been quite a 'mess' there. what with the audit going on and just in general, busy tutors. hmmm. but well, i guess there's probably gonna be so much to learn, and i'm already lagging so badly behind mainly cuz i dun think i finished what i was supposed to during my posting in Tan Tock Seng.

managed to meet up with most close friends.. and even played tennis 3 times in the past week! :D but gosh, i really suck now after the 2 week break... i've no idea why the effect is so pronounced this time, i usually am able to pick up the sport quite easily despite any breaks. but well, its getting better for sure.

i sang ktv twice, once with shi, ra, al and gary, and once with hs, ian, aud, mich and yihan. haha, my chinese is so bad now.. i'm having all sorts of trouble deciphering those chinese words. bah. maybe the comments tt wan qin made abt how she didn't think i could speak chinese, much less read any are true to a certain extend.. :X

attended fish's party.. which was help at essential brews.. she was so flustered cuz of some mean woman, but she looked much happier by the end of the party.. haha.. :)

also managed to catch fantastic four as well as transformers.. i liked fantastic four.. its so much better than the first, plus, i have always been a big fan of the cartoon series and comics.. :) haha. as for transformers, it was cool, though the fight scenes were too zoomed in for you the appreciate the action - but i guess it cuts down on the animation cost. and the digital 4k screen i watched transformers on is soo drool worthy. its uber clear and everything just looked so good! :)

well, other than all these, i've been eating so much.. all the food everywhere.. i loved the dim sum we had at hei she hui after we watched transformers.. haha, damn funny to see nick eat the flowy custard bun, dripping it all over the place.. :p

also went down to little india one day, and it was so interesting. its like india in a way, cuz it was really just indians everywhere. its so hard to drive there cuz the pple just walk all over the streets.. u can probably travel at like 10km/h or sth. food there was not bad, not as good as vansh, but certainly cheaper. haha. and yeah, tt day i went out with nick and zp, we actually went to each person's house for a short while. and well, just talked a lot of cock. what do ya expect with zp ard rite??

its also been wimbledon week! haha.. thanks to the excellent livestream, i've been able to avoid watching Starsports and its little terror in Vijay, the worst commentator i've ever had to endure. so ignorant and irritating.
